Love Is Tweet

This is a card I made for my nephew and his new fiancee to let them know how happy I am that they have gotten engaged. As luck would have it, and a fabulous coincidence, they got engaged on my wedding anniversary. I couldn't have been more thrilled.

For this card, I used the Love Birdies set from Doodle Pantry. I thought it would make a fabulous engagement card. Laurie has some great sentiments with this set, and I used Love is Tweet and placed it inside the piece of paper tacked to the birdhouse. I colored the entire image with Copic markers (leaves - G20, G24, G28; Vine, Roof, Step and Flower Basket - E37, E39; Birdhouse - E33, E35; Heart Outline Beaks and Flowers - Y02, Y06; Sentiment - E00; Bird 1 - BG02, BG11, BG13, BG15; Bird 2 - BG05, BG07, BG09). I found these adorable little diamond rings at Michaels, and placed one around the vine at the top of the roof. To finish the card off, I put crystal bling in the center of the flowers.

Pop on over to Doodle Pantry's store and get this School Bus set free with purchase from May 25-27 only.

Way to Go Erika!

This is a card I made for my future niece Erika. She just graduated college, and although I was not able to attend, I will see her when I attend my nephew's (her fiancee) graduation this weekend. I really hope she likes this card. She has two beautiful bunnies, Pecan and Bowzer. I modeled this one after Bowzer. He has all these wonderful ginger colored markings on him.

I used two sets from Doodle Pantry. The bunny is from the Bunny Wabbit set and the sentiment and cap is from the Grad Hats set. I absolutely love the versatility of these digital stamp sets. You can so easily size them to fit with each other. I colored the bunny and hat with Copic markers (R00 and R000 for inside ears and nose; E33 and E35 for the bunny's body and ears; Y19 for the tassle and V09 and V17 for the cap). Her school colors are purple and gold, so that's what I used for the card stock. The image and sentiment were cut out with Spellbinder's Wonky Squares. The balloons and diploma are from K & Company and I added some clear crystals for the bling!

Pop on over to Doodle Pantry's Blog and download 3 new sentiment sets that Laurie is giving away. They will go with any and all of your stamped images. While you're there, play along in this month's challenge and receive the Fruitful Star set FREE just for playing along.

For You Mom

This is the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day.

For this card, I used two sets from Doodle Pantry. I used the software on my computer to put the Fruit Hat from the April release onto the bird from the Everyday Birdies set. I absolutely love these birds that Laurie draws. Aren't they awesome? I colored the bird and hat with Copic markers. The colors I used are YR12 and YR14 for the orange; R22 and R24 for the strawberries; V09 and R39 for the grapes; Y02, Y06 and G20 for the banana; G24 and G28 for all the leaves; R02 and R05 for the ribbon; E51, E53 and E55 for the hat; Y02, Y04, Y06 and Y35 for the bird; Y35 and Y38 for the bird's legs and beak. I used 2 of the Opulent Ovals dies from Spellbinders to make the frame and I used another one to cut out the bird. The card stock is Ivory, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight from Stampin' Up. I used a corner punch from EK Success on the Daffodil Delight card stock and a corner rounder punch from EK Success on the Rich Razzleberry card stock. I added a crystal flower flourish at the bottom and clear crystals on the sides and top of the frame. The sentiment is a rub-on from Stampin' Up.

Dragonfly Wishes

This is a card I made for the new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. I created this card using pergamano (embossing and piercing parchment paper). I did not use any piercing on this particular piece. The vellum is a design from Pergamano and I layered it over Lovely Lilac card stock from Stampin' Up! I traced and embossed the thistle flowers on plain parchment and layered that on top of the Lovely Lilac card stock as well. I embossed and then cut out 6 of the flowers and laid them diagonally over the two different vellums to hide overlapping and added purple bling to the centers. I stamped the sentiment (Fiskars Birthday Sentiments set) with Memento Black Tuxedo right on top of the vellum. The dragonfly (Celtic Dragonfly from Stamp Oasis) was stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers (V20, V24, V28). I cut out the dragonfly  and added clear crystals to the head, wings and body and colored them with the V28 Copic marker and used pop dots to adhere it to the card.

For A Fun Couple

It's time for Doodle Pantry's May digital stamp release. Wow, did Laurie out-do herself this month. Wait until you see what she has created for all of us.

I am using the Fancy Flamingo set. Look at all these fabulous images and sentiments, not to mention incredible digital papers you get with this set.

Here is the card I created:

All the images, the sentiment and the designer paper are from the Fancy Flamingo set. There are two different flamingos that come in the set, but I chose to use two of the same one. I just flipped one of them horizontally so they are looking at each other. I colored the flamingos with Copic markers (pink - R81, R83 and R85; blue - B02, B05 and B16; beaks - N6 and N8). The heart was downloaded from the internet and I placed the sentiment inside the heart. I added bling around the necks of the flamingos and at the bottom by their feet. I cut out the flamingos using Spellbinder's Opulent Ovals and popped it up on the designer paper, then layered it on blue card stock and a white card stock base.

A new digital challenge will also begin at noon today and run until May 24th over at the Doodle Pantry blog.
