Peek-A-Boo Panda

This was a super fun card to create. This is another awesome image from Doodle Pantry called Pumpkin Peeps. This was the featured set this month. If you played in the challenge, then you were lucky enough to have received this set for free! I printed the image on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers (panda face - C0; panda body - N5, N6, N8; pumpkin - YR04, YR07, YR09; stems - YG95; YG97). All of the other pieces on this card were cut using my Silhouette Cameo and then assembled, including the sentiment. Everything was mounted on cream card stock and then an orange card stock base.

Gone Fishing

It's time for another Monday Greeting Card challenge at The Outlawz. This is my second week as a Guest Designer and I'm having great fun. The theme this week is Hot Summer Nights - Show us how you keep cool in the summer! The sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps and I chose to use their sunbonnet fish 2 image. Isn't it adorable?

I printed the image on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers (skin - E00, R02; hat - E51 E53, E55; worm - E11, E13; dock and pole - E33, E35, E37; shirt - G94, G99; overalls - B93, B95, B97; water - B91, B95). The sun was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I distressed it with Calypso Coral ink from Stampin' Up! and I added a yellow crystal. The fish with the greeting Gone Fishing was also cut on my Silhouette Cameo. This is an image from their online store. I distressed the fish and the edges of the white card stock with Certainly Celery ink from Stampin' Up! This was mounted on a piece of black card stock and then designer paper from my stash. What you can't see is thee design on the paper is little fish. This was mounted on another piece of black card stock and put on a white card base.

I hope you get a chance to join us this week for this wonderful challenge!

Beautiful Day

I am using one of Doodle Pantry's new sets that was just released this month. This set is called Magnolia. Now, I know what you're thinking...pink magnolias? But, I looked on the internet and they do have pink magnolias, as well as yellow. There are 2 different magnolia images with this set...one with leaves and a bud, and one with just leaves. I used both for this card. The only thing I did to these images was rotate them. I printed the image twice on white card stock and colored both copies with my Copic markers (flowers - R61, R63, R65; leaves - YG61, YG63, YG67). I hand-cut all the flowers to make them dimensional. They were also sprayed with Sparkle & Glitter.  The sentiment is also from the Magnolia set. I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette for this sentiment. The frame around the sentiment was also cut with my Silhouette. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch. I punched both pink card stock and pink vellum and layered the butterflies. I added clear crystals to the butterflies and goosebumps on the flowers, and then colored them pink.

The Magnolia set is free with purchase until August 24th.

Made for Each Other

This month, I am honored to be Guest Designer for Monday's Greeting Challenge at The Outlawz. I am very excited to be working with some very talented ladies. This first week's challenge was to make an anniversary card using ribbon, pearls and rings. Our sponsor this week is Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.

I choose to use the digi stamp Made for Each Other. It's certainly not your traditional anniversary card, but I have the perfect couple I'll be sending this to. The designer paper and ribbon are from Stampin' Up! The frame was cut using my Silhouette and is from their online store. I made the shadow using the outline feature. I printed the greeting on my computer using Chiller font and punched it out with an oval punch from Stampin' Up! The rings and pearls are from my stash. I printed the image on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers (frankenstein's body - YG61, YG63, YG67; shirt - E51, E53, E55; jacket - E35, E37, E39; hair, pants and shoes - N3, N5, N7; belt- N8; buckle and bolts - N1; bride's skin - CO, C2; lips and nails - R29; dress and eyelids - V04, V06, V09).

I hope you will come play along with this week's challenge. I can't wait to see what you create!

First Day of School

Do you know what I love about the 1st of every month? It's Doodle Pantry new release time! You are going to absolutely love this month's digi stamp sets. I know I do. This month, I chose to use the Apple Ants & Wormy set.

This is another very special card to me. I made this card for my favorite cousin's grandson. He has spina bifida and is in a wheelchair. He starts school in a couple weeks, and it's a really big deal for everyone. So, I wanted to send him this card. Isn't this the cutest image? I loved it as soon as I laid eyes on it.

I printed the image from the Apple Ants & Wormy set onto white card stock and colored it with Copic markers (apple - R24, R46, R59; worm - E11, E13, E15; ants - N3, N5, N7; grass & leaves - G20, G24, G28; mushroom - BG13, BG45, BG49, YR23). After I was done coloring the image, I added glossy accents to the apple to make it shine. The sentiment, which is also from the Apple Ants & Wormy set was printed on white card stock and punched out with the Curly Label punch from Stampin' Up! and layered onto black chalkstock tile from Canvas Home Basics. It was supposed to resemble a chalkboard, but it was too big and I had to cut it down. The designer paper on the right is from this same digi set, and the designer paper on the left is from Country Flavors Digi Paper Pack. They were matted with black card stock and set at an angle. All of the sticker embellishments are from Stickos by EK Success.

Here is a picture of everything you get in this set:
