Sweet Wishes

I have another card for you today from Doodle Pantry. I had the best time making this card. Honestly, I didn't know when to stop...lol.

I used the set Gingerbread House Ants from Doodle Pantry. I started with a pre-colored version of the image. One of the things I love about Laurie's digital stamp sets is her coloring. I find myself using them more and more lately. I love using my Copics and Spectrum Noirs on her images, but when the image looks this good, why mess with perfection. I printed the image on white card stock and then I added Stickles Frosted Lace glitter glue for the snow icing. I then colored the gum drops with my Sakura clear gel pen to add a sugary look to them. And then I added glossy accents on all of the rest of the candy. This made the suckers and the skittles shine. You may have to enlarge the picture to see all the wonderful details. I used one of Laurie's designer papers printed on white card stock. I paired this with real red card stock from Stampin' Up! as the card base, as well as the just the corners behind the focal image. I printed the sentiment Sweet Wishes on white card stock and used the small and large tag punch from Stampin' Up! and then added red grosgrain ribbon. I taped a piece of red satin ribbon down the side and added the metal peppermint candy and candy cane brads (removed the tines and glued them down with glue dots). I then added sugared gum drop embellishments to finish the card off. Here is what you get in the set:

Thanksgiving Song Birdies

I have another post for you today brought to you by Doodle Pantry. I guess it's no secret how much I love these digital stamps. Especially, the birdies. But, there are so many more styles to choose from. You really should pop on over there and check these digital stamp sets out.

I made this card with the Autumn Song Birdies set. This set was released in October, but I didn't get a chance to make a card with it, so I used it this month. Isn't this set adorable?  Okay, this is probably a little bit hard to see, but the first thing I did was print one of the designer papers from the set and then used it in my Silhouette Cameo to cut the Happy Thanksgiving cut file. I then took Ranger's Vintage Photo Distress Ink and tapped it all over the cut file. It gave it this awesome rusty look that I just love. You might have to click on the picture to get a larger view of it so you can see the designer paper through the ink. I also made and cut and square frame from rust colored card stock and distressed it with the same distress ink. I mounted both the cut fle and the frame onto apricot card stock. I brought the PRE-COLORED image into my Silhouette Cameo and traced it; then did a print and cut. There were a couple of spots that didn't cut, so I colored the paper with YR000 to match the card stock. I added 3 plastic leaf embellishments and then I added brown dome crystals on the tip of each swirl of the cut file to finish it off.

Here is what you get in the set:

Don't forget that you still have a couple of days left to join us for the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #52. If you use a Doodle Pantry image, you will receive the Gingerbread House Ants set for free. You are also eligible to win a $15 gift certificate with any image you use.

It's a Snow Globe Kind of Christmas

Oh yeah....it's the 1st, so you know what that means...RELEASE DAY at DOODLE PANTRY! Laurie has some fabulous sets for us this month. Here is the card I made.

I had soooo much fun making this card. I used images from two of the new released sets this month, Snow Globe Gala and Snowhorse Charlie. So, to start, I brought the PRE-COLORED snow globe into my Silhouette Cameo. I traced the snow globe and then did an offset. I did a mirror image of the offset and then overlapped the image a little at the base and on the globe and welded the two together. This created the snow globe base card. I still had the trace on the pre-colored globe. I used a circle cut line for the center and then brought Charlie Snowhorse into the Silhouette. I centered him at the base of the globe in the circle cut and then did a print and cut on my Silhouette. I also did a cut of the globe using a piece of acetate. I colored the background of the insert and the outer edge of the globe using Copic marker B0000. I used a pre-colored version of Charlie Snowhorse and then colored his body with C0 and C2. Using removable tape, I taped the globe to the base and then attached the insert into the middle, then removed the globe. I added white snowflakes and 2 green trees to the insert. I used large foam dots to then attached the globe on top. The sentiment is from Snow Globe Gala and I printed it on white card stock and used green ink to distress it. I also used the same ink to distress the card base. I added two white snowflakes and green crystals in the center to finish it off. Here are images of the two sets used:
